After careful consideration, and in line with our policy on Benzodiazepines and flying, The Lawson Practice will no longer issues Benzodiazepines (such as diazepam) for patients undergoing MRI scans or other procedures. Like many other GP practices adopting similar policies, we have not made this decision lightly. Any medications used during scans or procedures need to be prescribed and administered by the clinicians who are responsible at that time.

Alternatives to medication include breathwork, mindfulness, medical hypnotherapy, and other psychological / talking therapies.
