Teaching Practice

We are proud to be a teaching practice, supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. As part of the NHS Vocational Training Scheme, we provide hands-on learning opportunities for medical students, GP registrars, and nursing trainees. Our aim is to create a supportive, educational environment where future healthcare providers can gain valuable experience in patient care.

What You May See at Your Appointment:

  • Medical Students: Medical students join us for short periods to observe consultations and learn about general practice. They work under close supervision and with your consent.
  • GP Registrars: GP registrars are qualified doctors who are completing specialist training in general practice. They conduct consultations and provide patient care under the supervision of our experienced GPs.
  • Nursing Trainees: Nursing students and trainee nurses gain experience in a variety of clinical tasks, including health checks, vaccinations, and other essential patient care.

What This Means for You When you visit our practice, you may be asked if a student or trainee can be involved in your appointment. Your comfort and privacy are our priority, and you are always welcome to decline if you prefer. Allowing students and trainees to observe or participate in your care helps them build essential skills and contributes to the future of healthcare.

Thank you for supporting the development of our future healthcare workforce!
